<aside> 👋
This, and all of the user research blogs, give an overview of the process and steps taken for each part. I’ve included images taken from the FigJam boards where the majority of the work lives to illustrate the process.
If you would still like to see further details on each part, please view the FigJam board in full.
It can be found at the end of this page, or on this master page.

I sometimes feel that I create user personas during the research phase of a project and then never look at them again when designing. In a project I was apart of during my placement, we created “user mindset cards”, which were super light personas which acted as principles to design by. Throughout the project, we found ourselves using them to check our work against and make sure we had covered all user needs.
For this project, I’ve taken the personas I created and boiled them down into similar mindset cards. I think these will be really useful for myself to refer to throughout the design phase.

The creation of these marks the end of the research phase of this project, and I’m pleased with how I’ve started to transition between phases. Sometimes it can feel quite start stop between phases, but with these, and my opportunities map, I feel I really know what to take from my research into my design work. Although both are light touch, they’re useful entry points to encourage me to look at my research again and really build it in to my work.
I’m now confident to start the design phase of this project.
Full working and documentation of user research can be found in this FigJam file.
