This, and all of the blogs, give an overview of the process and steps taken for each part. I’ve included images taken from the FigJam boards where the majority of the work lives to illustrate the process.
If you would still like to see further details on each part, please view the FigJam board in full.
It can be found at the end of this page, or on this master page.

Building upon my previous research, I now wanted to transition into the design phase of the project. To start, I wanted to get ready to develop user flows by first identifying the key flows and seeing what exists already that can be used as a best practice basis.
I first took the same set of steps from my user journeys, and broke them down into their individual steps.

After doing some research, I then identified what apps, products, or websites had particularly good examples of each flow. I was conscious not to just stick to transport related services, so included some examples like amazon and duolingo.

Then, for each I took screenshots of each step of the flow, noting strengths and weaknesses throughout. This worked well as it helped me to identify areas where strong patterns were already established, and where I had to put my effort into improving.

I continued this method with the rest of the flows to cover the majority of the flows that would feature in my app.

Overall, this process worked exceptionally well for me and gave me a really strong direction for my user flows. I think given the nature of this project, that being to centralise and unite existing networks, focussing on utilising best practice examples of good UX is really important and has helped a lot. It’s a part of the project I could have kept going with if not for the sake of time, although I do feel I covered a lot of ground.
