The writing of the proposal was relatively easy due to the clearly defined sections that were required. The trickiest part I found was actually describing the concept. Usually during uni projects, I’ll blog how the concept develops through ideation, but this was more jumping straight into the deep end by having to concisely describe something that was just an idea. I think this went well and I’m pleased as I think this is a useful skill to practice as I often find it difficult to describe my ideas at the start of a project. The other difficult bit here was the cost, as I usually don’t think about how long each step of the design process takes. I think I was able to identify which parts of the project would take the longest due to them being the areas I was less used to working in. I think this is also a really valuable skill I’ve learnt from this project, as being able to understand and consider how long work will take me to do will be essential for the workplace.
