This is a shorter point slightly more objective compared to the previous point but is something really important to remember as a designer. It again relates to the ethical consideration of what we design but in the sense of when we’ve identified an ethical issue. We as designers are the ones with the ability and tools to design, so we are the ones with the power. I we are asked to do something we feel may be unethical, we have the power to ask ” Why?” and say “No”. I think this is a culture that needs to wider spread as this attitude works far better when it’s widely accepted by designers. I think it’s something to really encourage as understanding we have power will lead to less unethical design affecting the world.
