While I’ve considered the Law of Common Region before, I think with more experience in UX I’ve a new understanding of it. Before I considered it more an interesting way of making shapes but I now know it’s importance with grouping and chunking content. I think the next few entries in this mini blog will be less substantial as they’re less about interesting psychological techniques to subtly improve UX but more about the essential geometric qualities of UX design that’s hardwired into us. Reminding myself will be useful but actual takeaways may be more limited. For now, while it’s good to remind myself of the Law of Common Region, it’s something I already do as standard.
