The last part before the main experience was the launch of it from the home page. The first part I did was add in a between screen which moved from the home screen to a static screen which the screen would move into and fade to black. I felt this worked well and showed that the main experience was a separate narrative from the home pages.
After the black screen, a video of the launch would start playing, and the Apollo 11 title would zoom in similar to the thunderbirds titles sequence.
After a short time, a button would appear for the user to move on with the experience. This would move into title sequence introducing the main characters, before moving into the main experience.
This was interesting however I was on the fence wether this would stay in the final prototype. I wasn’t sure if it was really needed and wether the home screen was introduction enough. Even so, it was an interesting experiment and I preferred to at least try it out.
With the main home screens and flows complete, I began linking up the prototype.
