These are some of the immersive websites I’ve looked at for inspiration for this project. These have been a great source of inspiration and I’ve written a few quick thoughts about each.
A lot of apples product pages are excellent examples of immersive websites. They make the website feel like such a high quality experience and great narrative elements as if they are actually talking you through and showing you the product. Really nice scroll animations and interactive elements. Particularly good at managing a lot of quite technical content and paces said content really well.
This is absolutely insane. I’m guessing this basically running a light game engine rather than HTML and CSS but even still a lot to take away. Really like the use of a central environment to centre the page. Unconventional scrolling through the page rather than horizontal or vertical is really interesting.
Unseen Studio® – Brand, Digital & Motion
Slightly more conventional website but really nice use of filled space. Really like the horizontal sliding elements that break up the page. Colour usage is also nice here, using really bold colours occasionally but when they do they’re the centre of attention.
Another nuts one. Incredible and distinctive styling that creates a unique atmosphere. Strange and otherworldly with some almost game like elements at the start to engage the user. Every element really considered and thought out. Really like how style continues throughout rather than just being a unique thing for the home page.
