I was at the point where I was now able to move out of discovery and into the design phases of the project. To move forward, I wanted to define what the project really was now after discovery. To do this, I first created a mind map for each part of the product with all my thoughts so far for the product.
I’ve decided at this point to firm my choice of splitting this project into two parts; 1 - a smart home system using speculative or experimental technology; and; 2 - a emotional support app for the carer which will provide tracking and insights gain from 1. While this is ambitious, I think it is achievable, and more so, necessary. I went back to look at some of my research into design for health products and saw there was a trend of having dual experiences; one for the patient and one for the carer/doctor. It makes sense as each are little use without the other, and I think doing this for this project will allow me to create a more realised and effective product.
With that established, I created my mind maps to help define the project.

With mind maps created, I could now more easily define my product.
