The week 12 critique went really well, with mostly positive feedback. The main change recommended was around the diagram spreads. There was a feeling that some light text to explain the diagrams would help contextualise what the reader was seeing. I could see this working well and went in to change this. For the first spread, I added labels for where the manoeuvre and separations occurred, which wasn’t a recommendation but this way I didn’t have to add as much text and could keep it in one box. I felt this worked well and helped clarify the diagrams. The second spread used a labelling system for the diagrams along with a key based explanation section which I also felt worked well.

The other change reccomended was that the grain texture on the black pages was too heavy. I agreed with this and it only happened because of differences in exports. I lowered the texture opacity a bit and that seemed to fix it. I’ll admit it’s still fairly heavy, however, I do think the heavier texture works well on this page due to the simpler shapes, colours, and forms. I could have lowered it further but actually felt the texture feeling heavy was quite a nice visual motif for the pages.

With the changes complete, my E-Book was now finished.
