Miro Research

To begin this project, we were put into groups to do research into current issues in healthcare. This project allowed us to create our own briefs, so exploring healthcare issues was a really important part of finding an issue to work on for the project. We worked on the research in Miro so that we could see each other’s work and share ideas. I split the research into a few separate areas to keep organised. Those areas were; Domestic Health Issues; International Health Issues; Global Health Issues; and Design for Health projects to look at.

Initial Ideas

After exploring a range of ideas, I pulled out some of the ideas I thought were strongest. These were all big issues in Health Care so I wanted to carefully consider which idea I chose to continue with for the project.

3 Ideas

After pulling out all my initial ideas, I narrowed this down to 3, based on relevancy, importance, and my own interest in the topic. I felt I had 3 interesting areas to explore further and was pleased that they were fairly distinct topics.

Further Research

Now being down to 3 ideas, I wanted to do more in-depth research into each.

Unions and Strike Action

The first topic was around Unions and Strike Action, which I felt would be an interesting way to explore because it’s a big issue in healthcare at the moment but isn’t a direct health concern. I’m really interested in politics so this issue was something I really wanted to explore. My biggest concern about this is that it’s quite a broad topic and be difficult to find a solution to the problem that can delivered as a package.
