This, and all of the blogs, give an overview of the process and steps taken for each part. I’ve included images taken from the Figma File where the majority of the work lives to illustrate the process.
If you would still like to see further details on each part, please view the Figma File in full.
It can be found at the end of this page, or on this master page.

Now that I’ve completed my prototype, I want to spend some time stress testing and expanding on the functionality of the app. These are things that won’t necessarily be shown in a prototype, but I want to experiment with.
The first thing I want to try is pushing the colour system for adopting external brand colours and logos.
I went through my system map and picked out key screens that made a lot of use of external brand colours, such as the long form ticket buying screens, route planning screens, and navigation screens.

Next, I selected some other brands to test with. For this I chose

I began by expanding each brand’s colours to have a light and dark variant of their core brand colour, as this would encourage accessibility. I then went through switching out the Translink colours in the original example for the new colours.

When adding the TFL colours, I ran into the issue of it’s primary blue not being accessible against black. The biggest problem here was the header with the back button and progress bar. This required an white version of those components to be made.
