Hi Kyle,

Wanted to get this first 1000**~** words for you to ****have a look at. I’ve doing a lot of back-and-forthing over this so it’s taken a bit longer than I expected to get written but I starting to feel like I’m getting into the flow of it.

Just for context I think my dissertation will be spit up like so:

  1. Intro [400 words]
  2. Section 1 – Background on the ideas of narratives surrounding image [800-1000 words]
  3. Section 2 – Examples of how narratives have formed around images throughout past and modern conflicts (WW2, Vietnam, Iraq, Ukraine, Gaza). Looking at both the how the government and the main form of media at time tried to circulate images and narrative. [2000-2400 words]
  4. Section 3 – Highlighting differences and forming into insights [800-1000 words]
  5. Conclusion [400 words]

The extract I’ve sent is basically the first half-ish of Section 2. I thought it would be better to start here as it’ll let me know what I need to set up in S1 and what I need to conclude in S3.

If you could let me know what you think, that’d be great.

Thanks,

Noah.
